Merdeka TTDI Jaya dan Sekolah Rendah Keb TTDI Jaya

SHAH ALAM: Hari ini (Sept 8) berlangsung Perayaan Kemerdekaan TTDI Jaya di Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan TTDI Jaya. Ramai yang datang termasuk keluarga saya, tentunya kerana ianya di jalankan serentak dengan Program Saudagar Muda and Perayaan Ke 10 Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan TTDI Jaya.

Akhirnya terjawab juga persoalan saya "Apa Dah Jadi Pada Federal RA"? Namun begitu ramai juga warga Mayang Sari yang menjadi AJK Jawatankuasa sambutan yang berlangsung di padang hari ini.

Saya tak mahulah memanjangkan tandatanya cukuplah di sini saya sertakan gambar2 yang sempat saya ambil.

Proton Pesona

SHAH ALAM: Kereta terbaru Proton sudah di lancarkan hari ini. Kalau nak tengok pergilah ejen Proton di belakang Shell, sementara itu tengoklah gambar yang ada di sini.

Saya belum test drive lagi tapi drpd apa yang saya tengok dari segi luarnya boleh tahan juga, lampu depan macam C-class tahun 2000 (C-class 2007 dah keluar)tapi keseluruhanya ianya Gen 2 dengan but yang lebih besar lagi ianya sedan bukan hatchback. Mungkin sdr setiausaha dapat bagi pandangannya.

Harga drpd 44,999 (low line atau low class?) tanpa airbag dan disc brek dan H-line pada harga 55,800+++ lengkap dengan captor dan abs/ebd.

Adakah ianya berbaloi? Setakat ini saya belum dapat buat keputusan tapi kealpaan Proton dalam kereta Waja membuat saya prasangka terhadap Pesona dan kereta2 Proton yang lain.

Tapi itu tidak bermakna saya katakan kereta Pesona tak bagus, cuma saya sedang melihat kereta jenis lain sekarang ini, iaitu MPV dan Proton tidak mengeluarkannya!

Shah Alam: While we console Sdr Sukri for the death of his wife, I must point out one thing. The new, upgraded Mayang Sari community passed the first test with flying colours.

By 9am (july 13 ) , I believe almost all members of the community were alerted to the sad event unlike the one that happened a few months ago. Most of us only found out about it the next day, in the newspapers.

This is how a community works!

Another Day Another Flood

SHAH ALAM: As I feared it rained heavily today (June 14) and a small flood occurred. With Sungai Air Kuning (behind Mayang Sari next to the apartments) inundated with waters from Bukit Jelutong, Puncak Perdana and beyond.

It must be noted here that the Puncak Perdana area is a water catchment area and the Sungai Buloh Dam is located within the area.

My hypothesis (this is my opinion and not based on any indepth research) that all that rainwater (after all the land clearing) poured into drains that led into Sg Air Kuning and all of it culminate in this area).

The flood today was a small affair and the water had subsided by 6pm. But I believe TTDI Jaya will suffer major flooding if heavy rain occurred simultaneously in Puncak Perdana and Damansara as what happened in Feb 26, 2006.

If you got the time, please drive down to Bukit Jelutong area (underneath the highway) and you can see the huge retention pond, which is connected to the drain leading to the TUDM Golf Club.

The drain then become Sg Air Kuning next to the Bomba headquarters and the industrial area behind TTDI Jaya. This industrial area was part of the Rasak Estate owned by Guthries and has since been developed by Guthrie Properties.

Apart from the concrete culvert (just after the TUDM base junction if you are coming from TTDI Jaya), which is paid for by US, most of the industrial area have no concrete culvert just like the huge earth drain behind the two schools (see the video in the earlier post).

Since this is the monsoon season more heavy rain is expected. So be prepared.

At least Somebody is Watching or in Fear

SHAH ALAM: Its been raining heavily in TTDI Jaya the last few days. We were spared floods this time around but the same cannot be said about Kuala Lumpur. Our thoughts and prayers for those affected by the flash floods last week and on Sunday.

I heard about the KL floods on Sunday while watching Tv3 Midnite news. The first thing that came to mind was the fact that it was lucky that I went back home early.

I left my office at Jalan Tun Razak about 1pm. I was supposed to be working until 7pm but due to system failure, my colleague and me left for home early. It was a lucky break otherwise both of us would have been stuck in KL that night.

Anyhow when I fetched my son at school today I saw two excavators busy patching up the wall of the earth drain. Since its been raining heavily the last few days, the gushing water from the cleared land have been wreaking havoc on the earth drain.

I cannot believed that MBSA had not order Guthrie Properties to make the drain into concrete culvert. I know its more expensive but it will certainly prevent any chance of floods in TTDI Jaya.

By grace of god, the drain remained standing even with the heavy rains in the last few days. But the excavators at the site today clearly revealed that the drain and its walls are fragile. Another bout of heavy rain might just cause it to fail.

Lets hope its after school hours.

Electric Gate

SHAH ALAM: In the last few days, I have seen many houses with their gate opened wide. Cursory glances (I do not want to be seen as a busy body) revealed that the electric gate were faulty. Only two years and the thing is already faulty. It seems that TTDi Jaya Development timed it almost perfectly! .

How much is the gate man asking to repair these things? If the guy is asking an arm and a leg, couldnt we get together to find another contractor?

TTDI Jaya RA

April 27. 8,30pm. The registration process for the TTDI Jaya RA begins.

Our pro-tem committee head Hj Jabar presenting his last comments to the RA. As he is moving out of TTDI Jaya, he did not contest for the post of YDP. He was the leader of TTDI Jaya residents for the last one year after the Feb 26 floods.

Now rhe fun part. The election for the new YDP. Hj Shukran and Ahmad Zemy were proposed. After a show of hand Hj Shukran was declared the winner and was duly announced as the first Yang di Pertua. Ahmad Zemy was subsequently elected as the Timbalan YDP.

The new cabinet of TTDI Jaya RA face the public the first time. It was some-sort of funny as by that time most of the members had left, leaving less than 50 for the Q&A session. One heated discussion came about when the RA accounts was presented. A typo error certainly made some peiple heat up.

Members also decided to reduce the membership fees to RM10 per year.

Although I have the full list of the cabinet, I do not think it was appropriate for me to list them out until the official notice. I however will list the the top office bearer as I feel that there wull be no dispute about this.

For the record, on behalf of the Mayang Sari Community we would like to extend our congrats to our fellow Mayang Saris, Saripol, Mohd Nizar and Hj Khamis who were elected to the TTDI Jaya RA.

Nizar was elected as AJK while Hj Khamis was made one of the two Bookeepers. Get cracking guys.

April 27 AGM/Election

This Friday (April 27) the TTDI Jaya RA will hold its first AGM. It will be the first AGM since the RA was approved by CCM.

One of the most important agenda on the AGM is the election of a new line-up of office-bearers. The current committee is the pro-tem committee which was created shortly after the big flood on Feb 26, last year.

Only those who are registered members will be allowed to vote for the new line-up. Mayang Sari residents who want to vote can do so by registering at the venue, Sekolah Menengah Keb TTDI Jaya on the night of the meeting (8pm).

They can also register via the form in the notice that was distributed last week. If you got the form or those who had missed them can contact our representatives

You need to pay RM15 for the privilege, RM10 for the joining fee and RM5 as monthly fee.
